Looking for a great cocktail bar on your way back to Vantage Collection? With so many exciting pubs, bars and restaurants surrounding Vantage Collection, one could discover a new place each week and still not have explored all that Jersey City has to offer.
Here are three of our favorite cocktail bars in Jersey City well worth exploring.
The Archer
One of the most original drink spots in town, The Archer, 176 Newark Avenue, serves up inventive cocktails you won’t find anywhere else with intriguing names like Trade Route, made with Ahus Aquavit, lemon, pink peppercorn syrup and white port. There’s also the house cocktail Rich Strike, made with bourbon, lemon, grapefruit, honey syrup, sfumato and peychaud’s bitters.
Be sure to check out The Archer’s Workmans Comp Cocktail Hour every Monday through Friday 5-7 p.m. See The Archer’s Menu
Cellar 335
Not only a great place for cocktails, Cellar 335, 335 Newark Ave., is also a great place specifically for frozen drinks like a New Orleans Frozen Daiquiri, made in four flavors: Miami Vice (Strawberry), Hemingway (Grapefruit), Mai Tai (orange and almond) or Maraschino cherry.
Cellar 335 hosts happy hour Tuesday thru Friday, 5-7 p.m. Check out Cellar 335’s Menu
Pet Shop
Named for the business that was there before it, Pet Shop is one of the hippest cocktail bars in Jersey City. Offering specials alongside six House Classics, Pet Shop is a great place to stop in on your way home. Try A Violet Affair, made with mezcal, rhubarb, lavender, lime and butterfly pea. There’s also the simple Country Road, made with Vodka, cucumber, lillet rose, strawberry, lemon and tonic. Explore Pet Shop’s Menu.
