As the weather warms in Jersey City, residents of Vantage Collection are ready to visit our city’s best local parks. But with so many to choose from, which park will you visit first? To help you decide, here are three of our favorite parks near Vantage Collection well worth checking out the next time you’re planning to go for a run, walk, or just looking to spend sometime outside.
Lincoln Park
Lincoln Park is one of the best places in the city if you’re looking for a way to get some fresh air. With tennis and basketball courts, playgrounds, paved walking and bike lanes, along with a running track. Lincoln Park even has a dog run, so there’s something here for everyone.
The park is also host to a early summer carnival and a seasonal farmers market.
Pier C
One of Jersey City’s newest piers is Pier C. This pier may not be the best place for running, however, it is perfect for a brisk walk or dog walks. Built for all ages, the pier features a playground at the center of this “island.” It’s notably the perfect place to take kids for an afternoon.
Liberty State Park
Of course, the most prominent place to get those feet moving is at Liberty State Park. Here the extra wide running paths criss-cross across the park allowing you to mix up your routine on a regular basis. Want to mix it up even more? The trails also have exercise stations that run along the path. Run a mile and stop to do a quick set of pull ups, bench dips, hamstring stretches and more.
We should also mention that beyond the wonderful trails, Liberty State Park is filled with amazing views of the Statue of Liberty, Bayonne Terminal, Verrazano Bridge and more.
